    Default Totally unrelated to cigars

I just finished building this mountain dulcimer and shipped it to my client today. Now I can get back to building myself a guitar.

Actually, now that's it's shipped, maybe I should celebrate with a cigar. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

Wow, I love that wood-grain. So you built that all by hand?

I think the same people who pay for cigar-clocks are paying the dealership $250 to change the bulb in their headlights.

Damn, thats real nice! Out of curiosity, what do you charge to build a guitar or other stringed instrument? PM me.
The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown

Well, I have the prices up on my website at www.gbguitars.com But I've decided not to take any more jobs at the moment. I've been building instruments and teaching music for the past year and while it's been fun and relaxing, I'm not bringing in enough $$ to pay the bills.

So I'm now applying for computer software jobs again. That's going to really fill up my day. Also, I find that I get really stressed out by deadlines on lutherie jobs and every little mistake just tears me apart. So I decided that I'm going to finish off the instruments I'm making for myself and then just build some stuff on spec, meaning that I build what I want and then only put it up for sale when I'm done.

Here's the next project I need to finish
