You have got to remember that taste is very subjective and is influenced by several factors. Every person will not have the same experience with the same cigar.

As far as cigars that change up during the smoke, there are a few that I could recommend. IMO, the CI legends series (white and red bands) actually finish mellower vs. the stronger that you have already experienced. The Perdomo reserve series and Oliva Master Blends offer nice changeups. For a real treat, try a RASS. These always supply me with a surprising change of flavors - from pepper to leather and back to pepper etc.
Mama said a lot of things and be thankful was the one she never minded saying twice

Thank you sir! I just happen to have an Oliva MB2 and MB3 resting in the humi now, of these, in your experience, which demonstrates the most significant change?

I understand the subjectivity of taste, and have come to understand that I most likely will never be able to identify and distinguish as much as some others.....but I ain't gonna quit trying, I just don't try as hard as I used to and I seem to be getting better at it. A while back I was trying too hard and the effort was messing with my "experience" when smoking.

[ignorance display] What is a RASS? I have seen this a few times, and now must ask. [/ignorance display]

It's funny. I read reviews on this board often and I always think to myself that I must have a dead pallet. The detail that people discuss is amazing and it frstrates me that when I smoke I cannot pull out some of the flavors people experience.

I do notice the flavor changes in a lot of smoke though for some reason.

The first cigar where I really noticed a change in flavour was a CAO MX2, but I was working too hard trying to get the damn thing to burn evenly that I didn't give a crap.
