I have to say - San Antonio's (and I'm not sure if it's this way in all of Texas) way of handling construction traffic is the most bizarre I've ever seen. I gotta think there are tons of accidents related to it.

While visiting last year, I was on the expressway that comes from the airport (not sure the name), that seems to ring the city. While driving along, I ALL OF A SUDDEN encountered a lane that was shut down. People were driving along at 55 MPH - no warning, no lane narrowing, no nothing - just a barricade in the middle of the road... Cars were swerving around it to avoid hitting it. And the workers were working, seemingly oblivious to the danger behind them... It was strange...

I did like the buttons all over the roads - at night you can't miss where you are in the road....

Also, you don't want to be on the roads when it rains. I've never seen so much street flooding with what I consider a medium rainstorm...

But, I did love the city! Lots of great places to go and things to see. It is definitely on my short "go back" list!!!
