Churchill. Punch or cut?

The cuttter should be fine. A punch on a cigar that size could lead to tar build up which could make the cap area bitter.

you got a point there, i prefer cut also but i also prefer a cutter that you could make painless circumsitions with

You could always double punch the cap. It will make a semi-oval shape. The cap should be large enough and sturdy enough for you to punch it twice.

You know what one of my favorite cutters is? The cheap single blade guillotine cutter that uses an actual razor blade. Once the blade dulls even a little, I just throw it away and use a new one. They are cheap and effective. A dull blade is the cause of most cutting woes. I wish they would make a cutter with cheap replaceable blades, like a Gillette.

Hey thanks guys, some craking ideas there. I think I will risk the cut, I have two brand new cheap cutters. The double punch idea is fab. I think I will cut.
