Default Oliva Serie O Double Toro

a monster smoke, at least for me.
    Tale of the tape:
    6 x 60
    Maduro wrapper
    All Nicaraguan blend puro

I picked up a box of 10 @ a recent Oliva event at a local b/m. The prelight aroma was good deep tobacco and gave me the impression that it would be on the full side both flavor and strength wise.......I was not disappointed. The wrapper of this cigar was very dark, blemish free, and had only small veins, and appeared to be fairly oily.

Cut and light were effortless. Burn was very straight and required no touch-ups. The ash was tight and held long enough to make me nervous and ash it though it showed no signs of dropping in my lap.

Throughout, the flavor was the typical sweet chocolatey (sp?) maduro, with some spice thrown in. Towards the mid-point some "toasty" notes came through and really created some complexity to it. The volume of smoke was very nice and it seemed to hang in the air around me creating a very nice aroma that I enjoyed very much.

Burn time on this smoke was 1 hr 35 minutes. I would definitely recommend this smoke to anyone who enjoys maduro wrappers on the full side flavor and strength wise.
