Rafael Gonzalez Perla - 4" x 40. These are going to be a good frozen kitty smoke. ROTT, smokes kind of like a small (young) Party Short, but costs 2/3rd the price.

Padron 1964 Family Reserve. After a nice 4yr rest in the humidor.
Trying to brave the outdoors long enough to enjoy a PSD4.

I anticipated that this cigar from Oliva would be close to the O Bold and so far, it's the closest I've smoked. I really liked it. I'm going to keep these in my humidor as a good daily cigar for a reasonable price. It was really Med. to Mid-Full versus being an outright full-bodied smoke. It burned well and had a perfect draw. I smoke kind of fast and this cigar kept my pace without getting hot and tar-tasting.
Had a Padron maduro ~ 3000 today while screwing around in the yard with the kid & dog.
Might hit an Anejo 46 later...

BBF - typical BBF
Boli Petit Beli - At the start, one of the best Nicaraguan cigars that I have smoked. If you told me that this was a DPG Maduro cigar, I would believe you. For the first third. The second third is similar to the BBF, except richer, smoother, not as strong (nicotine). High quality blend, more harmonious than the BBF, but not creamy smooth. The strength builds to full Boli by the half-way point, though. No more Nicaragua; a strength closer to DR cigars, but without the sharpness. The last third makes me think of triple ligero. Interesting cigar. IMHO - after one cigar - an ISOM for people who usually smoke elsewhere.

Anejo 77 from George on the first warmish day we've had here in weeks. These are so good. I'm pretty sure I prefer Anejo over Opus.
601 Oscuro...ok smoke nothing great yet.

Yesterday - my annual Boli Simones - finally coming out of the 'sick period' of the past few years. The prediction when these came out was 7-8 years before they would be good again. (They were great for maybe 18 months after box date, and then just died.) At six years, the prediction seems about right. Okay now, but back to the cooler for another year.
Today, Partagas Salomones - at five and a half years, my first. These got negative reviews when they came out as being bland and tasteless. Like many big CC's, it isn't a ligero-fest spice bomb; the flavours are refined, clean, and refreshing. Not strong-tasting, but plenty of nicotine, I guess due to the size. Burnt my fingers now, but should be better in a couple of years.
Sunny and 55....enjoying a Leccia Black on the deck.

Tonight was 'Krazy Ken's' sale at my local B&M. The wife and I each enjoyed a Davidoff #1. Afterwards Momma had a Opus X Angels Share (the wrapper completely came unravelled...) while I had a Davidoff Nicaragua Toro (was a great cigar, but a bit of a burn problem towards the end).
All in all - aside from the problems with the cigars, an otherwise great evening!![]()
Ramon Bueso Oddysey....what a difference 6 months rest has done to these. They were good before but wow they are smooth.
