I am new to the smoking world. Does anyone know anything about Romeo Y Julieta Cigars that are made in Cuba opposed to the Dominican Republic?

the cuban version dates back to 1873 and is produced in 12 different factories..it is a huge line in terms of sizes,etc....the D.R. version is made in la romana.....other than the name,they are two totally different cigars...

I suppose the Cuban brand is better. What would a box of 10 of those sell for?

They are definitely different from one another... The Cuban, to me, all seem to have about the same flavor profile (which is a good thing).

The DR R y J's have different flavors depending on the blend. There is a wider variety of flavors with the DR's. I prefer the black labels (Reserve Maduro's), although the Reserva Real are nice (but somewhat on the milder side)...

10 packs of the R y J's from Cuba depend on where you buy them from, and what vitola (size) you're interested in. Probably around $5 up to $20+ a cigar, again depending on source and size. Canada's gonna be a bit more expensive, primarily because of taxes. England's a bit less expensive, but the 17.5% VAT is a killer. You can find some deals in Europe, New Zealand/Australia or Asia. Many of the sources in the Caribean are cheaper.

There is also a great chance of counterfeits if you don't know your source.

A friend treated me to a Graycliff Red Label (I believe Robusto size) last weekend. It has been resting in the humidor for the last few days. I think I will try that tonight. Should be interesting.

Sounds like the Graycliff Original PGX. Nice - kinda mild, but nice... Definitely overpriced, but if someone gave it to you, it's worth it!!!

Of the Graycliff line, the one I like the best is the Expresso (black label)
