    Default Groomsmen Gifts

    Greetings!

As gifts for my groomsmen, I have purchased the two-finger cigar case seen here.

For my best man, I have purchased the three-finger cigar case seen here. I also had some custom leather work done on it to personalize it for him.

Now it's time to fill them, and I have smoked like two cigars in my life, and I think they were Swisher Sweets. So I obviously need some help, and I don't want to become an expert in order to buy these.

...so I need three cigars for the best man and a total of ten cigars for the groomsmen.

My best man is a bit of a cigar buff, so I'd like to get him nice ones.

The groomsmen vary from occasional smokers to guys who've probably never tried one.

Please be specific, since I have no clue what I'm doing. Thanks in advance!

For the best man, get a Punch, H. Upmann, and a Romeo y Julieta. Buy them at a local cigar shop and make sure you get a size that fits in the case.

As for the rest of the cigars, just buy two 5-packs of Macanudos, again a size that will fit in the cases. Macanudos are typically mild and can be enjoyed by a new smoker or an older one.

Well, a wedding is a pretty big thing. I'd recommend going ISOM with the best man. Perhaps Cohibas or Trinidads. As for the groomsmen, go with Opus X's or Cohiba red-dots. If you're squeemish about ISOM's, then go Opus with the best man and get the rest Punch Gran Cru or something like that. As for the drunken bastard that will stand up and blab your secrets to family and all, load his up with Peach white owls. If you don't know who this man is, you'll find out in due time.

That's assuming he has access to TRUE ISOM's. Probably not...

That's o.k., he can save big bucks by buying cheap cigars and putting fake bands on them from a website that I've heard of around here.

Thats assuming he even knows what ISOM means!!! He did say that he wanted us to be SPECIFIC so using cigar lingo may not be very helpful. I think in this particular case it would not be bad mojo to say ISOM = CUBANS. (Hex ban me for a day if I am wrong )

p.s. - SFG75 no flame on you man just pointing out that we tend to use abbrieviations and cigar lingo that some noobs (including myself) and others may not fully understand. By the way after you did y0our "blind taste test" did you enjoy the other sticks I sent you?

I'd include at least one of the following:

Davidoff Millenium Blend, Ashton VSG, an Opus X (just starting to hit the stores for Fathers Day) Diamond Crown Maximus, or Cohiba Red Dot.

In the mid price range, I'd go with maybe a Macanudo (everyone seems to like those), Montecristo White Label (mild and nice), Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 Silver, Perdomo Cameroon or Champagne, Gurkha Master Blend, CAO Gold Label, or Rocky Patel Sun Grown.

    Good luck!!!!
