My wife leaves the windows down all the time, and even though you vacuum the out of it, it still ends up smelling a little rank after a short time. If you cut up a few apples and leave them in the car, they will suck up most of the stink.

That's a new one. It seems like baking soda would also do the trick (a common remedy for a smelly fridge is to leave an open box of baking soda in there).

Hmm, never heard of that one but I'll give it a try. As JFellows says, I know baking soda removes odors. I use it to prolong the lifespan of kitty liter since I hate changing it out and it works great.

Dont mess around, disconnect the battery and let it sit 30 min. Remove the seats, etc then pull the carpet. Work on a concrete surface if you can. Be prepared to let the stuff it in the sun a day or two. Wipe the inside down with clorox and water.
