Let's see if we can get the TRUE story on this (although I am not sure why you dragged Lee's name into this thread...) But here goes...

Started out as a problem with Leebo (whom Scotty is not very happy with). First, Leebo's father in law died (someone he was very close to). Afterwards, his plumbing main broke, which cost him a whole lot of time and money. Leebo went onto the Cigar Snobs website and told everyone about his problems, said he would make good to the member who was owed cigars, but asked that his name be temporarily withdrawn from the lotto while he got his life back in order.

The guy who was owed cigars, as a joke, started a thread calling Leebo a welcher. Others piled on, joking of course, while still others thought it was serious (like ol' Scotty boy here). Leebo made good by sending out the cigars - so it wasn't an issue of welching - it was a ribbing because Leebo is VERY vocal about people keeping up with their obligations...

So, Scotty here was bought in hook, line and sinker on what was supposed to be a joke...

Mr. Flawless - I just have to say this about that... While you add the title "flawless" onto your sigtag (like the tombstone avatar at LTC), none of these guys see themselves as vainly as you do. CC, Leebo, and the others you so disdane and scorn, are VERY TRUSTWORTHY BOTL's. Without hesitation, unquestionably, I would send them cigars or money in a trade because they ALL have built a solid reputation to back them up. They don't HAVE to wear their title on their sleeve... Let me give it to you in Leebo's own words...

Now, notice there's no mention of bombs sent, trades, box passes, etc. Why you ask? I'll tell you.....those things don't make a person because when it's all said and done, you're word is all you have on these boards!

When you do the right thing, folks will know it, thus there's no need for all that stuff in ones profile. So, if someone sends you a surprise gift, PM or email them immediately and thank them, no matter what was sent!!! Always put better than you take in a pass. Pay it forward, except to mooches like Purobrat and the like....

If you think I'm a hardass, too bad! I keep an eye on things here and elsewhere. So, if someone steps out of line, I'll be there to address them.

I started this to see if my suspicions were true which is that you joined here to try to lure people over to the Island of the Misfit Toys and I would have never guessed that you sent out at least SIX PM's to people. That does indeed confirm my suspicions about your intentions of signing up here.

Of course you think my posts regarding this topic are "pointless" but far many others find this thread extremely informative and your pathetic behavior objectionable and downright sleazy. I never said you "sole mission" was recruitment but it's now perfectly clear that you were indeed engaging in that on behalf of the Island by direct PM's to people trying to lure them over there. The funny thing is that when most of the ones you recruited went over there, they found it to be a pretty dead and pathetic site with the possible exception of rohan who's nothing more than a disrespectful, smart mouthed punk who has disdain for those who know more about cigars than he does so he fits in just fine.
