I shoot a matthews switchback. a nice little bow, but probably a little overpriced because of the brand. There are some big deer over in IL i hear. Do you hunt?

i don't shoot yet but i want to. i'm leanning towards a traditional bow, hand crafted.

I thnk it would be fun to target shoot a traditional but have never had the opportunity. I am kind of a technology guy and the R&D that goes into the new compounds is crazy. Since i dont get as much time to practice shoot as I would like, a compound is the only way i feel i can hunt ethically. the sights on the compound bows today are amazing. I have a ton of respect for any hunter that can use traditional equipment. i grew up in the compound age though. wood bow and wood arrows doesnt really get me going as much as fiber optic sights and aluminum bow limbs with silencers and carbon fiber arrows i still love archery in general though. its a lot of fun.

Welcome aboard from WA! What is your home system setup? I dabbled as an audiophile but it is on hold until I remodel the room.

home setup is a little weak at this point. i have been spending money all over the place. i have a 53 inch panny rear projection (big depth wise but the picture is still amazing). a pioneer vsx-1014 receiver, a decent panny s-97 upconverting dvd player, and some old ass speakers. my next purchase is going to be new speakers. im thinking im going to go with the swan series in cherry. they have a 30 day in home trial and im sure i wont be disappointed. dedicated sub will be a bit later and it will probably be an svs 10 inch tube or box. i figure i will really start when i get a basement again.

remodeling is always the time to throw some wires in the walls and or ceiling

I bought a SVS cylinder a few years back and am very happy with it. I about took my house of the foundation "playing" with it.

Welcome to the board and enjoy the stay. Hope you've gotten your apprenticeship out of the way.

Enough with this rhyming...So, how many years is it from the time someone graduates till they have the full "master" (right word?) status?

Masters degree in Architecture takes 6 years of college, and then after you graduate you have to do 3 years as an "intern architect". then you can start taking the 9 different ARE (architects registration exams). when you pass all nine you then get your license to practice in that state. its a long damn process.
