    Default New Job

So I posted a while ago about going to So Cal for an interview. Well apparently I fooled them into hiring me.

I don't start until March but I'm really friggin' excited about it. I will be traveling all over the country/world for 2-3 years so hopefully I'll be able to meet a bunch of you in person.

    Thanks!

Actually I'll still be based in Houston for a while (or wherever I want really). The job is basically 100% travel so I'm not really pinned down to a location.

Congrats, make your "permanent" home some place with really cheap rent since you'll never be there.

I got into what's called the Enterprise Auditor program with my current employer, Boeing.

Basically its a rotation program where I'll get to experience every aspect of the company everywhere we do business. Mostly engineers go into the program so I should feel right at home. Every quarter I'll be going to a new business site, sometimes several times a quarter.

At first my home will still be Houston but I'll be traveling almost all the time. When my wife starts her PhD program I'll change my home location to wherever she is, most likely Gainesville, FL.

I start in March so I have some time to figure everything out, but I'll definitely be trying to meet a bunch of y'all in person.

Sure thing man, I'll see what I can do. We actually have a referral program as well. PM me some specifics of what you want to do and I'll see if I can help.

From the age of 10, I grew up in the 1960 area which at that time was unincorporated Harris County. So yes, it is a small world. Went to Klein high school.

And my Grandmother still lives in The Woodlands, right near the Conroe Marina if I recall correctly.

Also lived in the Woodlands, and my first ticket was from Harris County at the age of 12. Ahah, most of my years were spent in Cleveland though.
