Default Going to Boston this weekend

I'm going to be in Boston this weekend for the wedding of Heather's cousin. It should be a good time, the wedding is on saturday so I'm hoping to be able to check out Boston sunday and monday. I've never been to boston before. Are there any places I must see to get the full boston experience?

Jeezuz Dude, don't you know 'nuttin??

    It's pronounced Bwaaston.

I was there quite a few years ago for a training course and basically the only place I got to see was the "real" Cheers bar. The outside is the same as the show, but the inside is totally different. Expensive, but it's a nice-to-see.

Hey, you ever get those labels??

What are we looking for ?

Cigar Bars or places to shop or places to walk around.

Boston has tons of History to see and the city will be hopping this weekend.

What are you looking to do ?

There is a Bar/Pub called Porter's Bar and Grill. It is really close to North Station. They have awesome food, and tons of different beers, including locals and microbrews.

The guy that owns it is a friend of mine and I go there whenever I'm in town. It's won a bunch of "Best of" awards including some for its burgers.

There's the Faneuil Hall marketplace. Inside the big old looking hall there is kind of a food court. I had lunch there by doing a "chowder crawl" to the like 15 different chowder places in there.

Go on a Duck tour. Kind of touristy but also pretty fun.

    Take a tour of Fenway.

There's also the obligatory museums and historical houses/buildings and whatnot.

Boston's got a great nightlife and every kind of bar you can think of. One place has these things called "Scorpion Bowls" that are absolutely massive, plus chicks walking around selling teryaki on a stick.

Yeah, Newfie, i got them a couple of days ago. Thanks for them! I'm going up there for my fiance's cousin's wedding. I'm kind of looking for great places to visit, whether it be bars, stores, historical places, etc. Anything thats fun.

Spiffy has some good ideas. If you have a chance, the Sunset Grill and Tap is a great place for beers, like 200+ to choose from and around 80 on draft.

My trip to Boston was fun, but due to the wedding activites i didn't get to see much. When we actually walked through Boston I had an entourage of 6! I did get to go to the Cheer's bar and had several bowls of the best NE Clam Chowder I've ever had!
