    Default NYC this weekend

I'm going to be up in NYC this weekend visiting some friends and watching the Astros take down the Mets. Don't know wether or not I'll be staying in Manhattan or Brooklyn (depends on whose couch I crash on).

Anything cigar related I should check out?

    Thanks

Baseball in NY!!! Right on. I know your a astro fan (I'm a giants fan...LAST PLACE in the N.L....Reach for the stars) I found NY to be somewhat of a Cigar "UN friendly" place. If you get any good tips I would like to know...

    Enjoy your trip!!!

I won't be able to hang out this weekend, but send Cgardan a pm. There's the velvet lounge in the east village near Criff Dogs (awesome hot dog place). Merchants is a more upscale place at 61st and 1st or 2nd ave, can't remember. Also, enjoy a walk in central park while smoking a stogey, or walk the brooklyn bridge at sunset doing the same thing.

As far as stores, there's JR Cigars on 5th, Nat Sherman also on 5th (both within a couple of blocks), and many other local places. With NYC tax though, better to bring your own.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. I didn't think I'd have time to meet up with anyone since I was going up to see some friends who had the whole weekend planned out. I ended up hitting up JR's for a smoke and then torched it while walking over the Brooklyn Bridge back to my friend's place. Definately a great experience.

Too bad the 'stros got swept though
