You have a great board going here, gents. I’ve already picked up quite a bit of good information from many of your member posts. Substance and value - all at the right price! I found you guys while searching out info on those dang beetles… you know the ones. The posts here on quarantine protocols and salvaging the unaffected sticks were helpful. Any ideas on safely bringing them back to life?

By way of introduction, I guess I’m actually a re-noob to the cigar world. I wandered away from the cigar culture during the boom years. I guess it was partly due to my perception that the “price/value matrix” was all out of whack back then. (Anyone here remember guys coughing up 100 bucks a stick for rolled shrubbery and lawn clippings? It was Cuban seed shrubbery though!) My work environment wasn’t exactly compatible with cigar smoking either. I put my cigars into storage years ago thinking that eventually I would find my way back to enjoying an occasional smoke. Well, all my reserve stock has turned to sawdust and/or “mulch in a box.” So, it’s back to the beginning for me… and my how the landscape has changed. I’m not sure how much I can offer to the board at this point. If you don’t mind, I’ll just read and learn for a while. Thanks again, all!
