    Default Bonds gets the boot

Apparantly the Giants have informed Barry Bonds that his services will no longer be required after this season. He says that he'll play somewhere. Think anybody's gonna pick him up?

He'll definitely be in the AL as a DH, probably in pinstripes.

Steinbrenner doesn't give a rat's ass about anything as long as he can produce and Bonds will be ring hunting now so it seems like a logical fit.

I agree, I'd say someone in the AL east except Boston. Maybe NY but I wouldn't put it past Tor. or Bal. Either one would like the bat just to compete with NY or Boston.

Default I may be the only Giants fan here

I have watched this guy for the last 15 years. Just sucks to see him go out like this. I still remember his first at bat as a giant, he hit a MONSTER of a Homerun and we went on the 108 games that year. With him we were 9 outs away from winning the big dance back in 02, but Dusty blew that one. (If you havent guessed already Im a BIG GIANTS FAN!!! I bleed orange and Black!!!)

Just sad to see him go out the way he did. But your right, I'm sure there is a Rocking Chair waitin for him in the AL as DH.

Thanks for the show Barry!!! I'm going to miss ya!!!

Me at ATT Park Last summer... If any of you get a chance to check out this park do it. It's a nice place to check out in SF.

True, this is baseball and money will pay him. I am sorry but still perturbed at how much of an ass this guy was in Pittsburgh. As a kid used to wait outside stadium for autographs and Bonilla, Bell, Van Slyke would all stop for the kids; Bonds just walked right by, ignored everyone got in his car and drove off. Not just a bad day, was consistently an ass. Much of his criticism is self inflicted.
