What are dimensions of that counter top. I am also collecting bands for a similar project, and what to see how many more I have to collect. I know I have a long way to go though.

    Thanks everybody!

Korean- The bands cover an area that is 14" X 8'. I think without the box decals, I would have needed around 850.

JJM, if you're ever in MT you're welcome to come over...all the guys from this board are more than welcome. Well, except for Chris.

This is pretty awesome. I'm trying to do something like this myself sometime soon. I'm looking to put together almost like a picture frame of bands that can be put up as a decoration. However I'm gonna need to work on getting way more bands first. Great work!!

Looks really good!!! What a great idea too. You should go into bizz for yourself and sell em on ebay.

There's actually no poly on top in those pics. I currently have 20 coats of poly on it, but I have found a product called Enviro Tech to finish it off. I'll post some pics when it's complete.

Hmm... I'm only a board newb but I'm thinking of running up to MT to shoot me a deer this season.... Could also use a place to butcher it..... Mind if I just make myself at home?

Awesome job on the bar. I'm going to start saving my rings just in case I ever feel like scrap booking on a piece of furniture.

Pretty sweet man. I have a buddy that owns a bar and he did a similar thing with bottlecaps and autographs that he had collected from sports players, nascar drivers, and other assorted famous people. He even had Johnny Cash's on a $50 bill!!!

    Default Update

    Finally, it's ALL finished.
Right around 300 beer bottle labels and the big bar is done. I was worried about the wrinkles in the labels, but early two gallons of envirotex flattened all but a few of the labels super smooth

A huge shoutout to the whale. Without his help I'd never have been able to get this done without any duplicate labels.
    Much appreciated man.
