Houston played host to the RTDA trade show in August this year. That's all I can think of though.

Maybe some of the guys on here involved in the business know something I don't.

It's a big, annual trade show for tobacco retailers. Us non-dealers, me for sure and presumably you, aren't invited. I say presumably because I wager to guess that if you didn't know what the RTDA (Retail Tobacco Dealers of America) is then you probably aren't a dealer.

It is where manufacturers preview and release new stuff. Including cigars, gadgets and such and try to get dealers to carry them.

And Gurkha is a marketing company. They don't make their own cigars, or their coffee or anything they sell. Everything is made for them.

That's not to say some of their cigars aren't good, they are. They are made by the Torano factory for them.

They get mocked a lot because they make this stupid cigar infused with some freak'n expensive booze and charge something stupid like 400 bucks a cigar or something.

At the RTDA, which was in Houston, Gurkha previewed the new G5 Avenger and the Shaggy and some other stuff that I can't recall right now, which will be released in November.

Gurkha did at one point sell their Black Dragon cigars for over $1,000 a stick. They only made five boxes and sold three. It has been re-released for the common man and now sells for like $13 or something.

Also the Gurkha Titan retails for $18 +

I believe this was the "His Majesty's Reserve". Tubos that were infused with Louis XIV Cognac. I think you can still get them for like $500 a stick. The Gurkha Grand Reserve is the layman's version of this cigar.

The His Majesty Reserve I think are on sale at Cigar.com

    http://www.cigar.com/cigars/viewcigar.asp?brand=456

There only $750 a cigar, or $14,999 for a box of 20. If anyone is buying these let me know, as I will give you my address so you can send me boat loads of money and I will make a limited edition cigar myself, custom for you, infused with the finest domestic small craft beer in Maryland.
