Florida again.

Sarah and I are heading to Florida again tomorrow. One last dive trip of the season. I had planned on buying a dry suit so I could keep diving, but I just heard that the only place that's in my driving range to dive will only be open 1 day a month. So that's 4 days of diving in the winter season. Definately not worth $1000. I'm on a Mississippi scuba board, yes we have our own scuba board, and about 10 of us are meeting up and diving together. I've already met and dove with 3 of the guys, so I know at least 1 guy that's a good diver. We'll be doing a bunch of free dive sites, shore dives and springs. We're doing two dives on a wreck (day & night dive), a pier dive, a dive at the jettis and then rinse of in Morrison Springs, the spring in the video I posted. Hopefully we'll get some good pictures and maybe some video.

I'm taking cigars as I know at least one guy smokes. I dove with him two weeks ago and someone brought up that I like cigars and he said, "Oh yeah, I buy all my cigars out of Miami." Me, "Ok?" Well I found out he just orders Don Kiki Red & Green Labels from Cuban Crafters. I don't know why he worded it like that. I brought some cigars for him the next day cause he only had 1 left, and I'll bring plenty to pass out over the weekend. Hopefully I'll get a chance to relax and enjoy one.

So, in a week if I haven't posted anything ... then you've missed my funeral already.

haha, no. I don't have the required protection (certification). I don't think it's even possible to enter it, though. it's pretty old.

Cool! My dream is to go on a live-aboard to Truk lagoon and dive on the wrecks from the atom bomb tests. I read somewhere that it is now safe, radioactivity-wise, to dive there and I think it would be cool as hell to dive them. After all these years, the marine life should be awesome. And the twisted wreckage and different ship orientations would be way cool to see, imho.

That's me at the beggining making sure the other newbs make it through the opening ok. There's a really strong flow coming out of the cavern and it can be difficult getting in. This was their first time in there.
