Default Horrible Burn on my Flor De Olivas

I bought a bundle of em from CI about 2 weeks ago, and they have been sitting in my humi. I had one on Friday night, Sunday night, and Im having one right now. And on each of them, they have burned horrible. The ends of the ash are splitting, burning uneven, not burning in some spots, and on one of them when I first lit it there was a spot that started to burn about .25 inches down from the lit end of the cigar. And the taste has been so-so at best.

Now when I was in Philly, I stopped at a B&M there and picked one up. It was one of the best smokes I have had. It was astounding, burned awesome and tasted awesome.

I bought a box of Onyx Reserve from CI at the same time, and Im not having any issues with them.

Do I just need to let them sit in my humi a bit longer before I smoke them? I dont know what to do, because I absolutely loved the one I got in Philly.

Now the wrapper is starting to peel on the one I am smoking now........

What RH does your humi maintain? Could be uneven humidification causing the burn problems, and letting them sit at a constant RH for a period of time will correct this. Which FDO's did you pick up, maduro, corojo, classic?

I would say let the cigars sit for about a week or two longer in the humidor, I've never had a problem wiith Flor De Olivia. Hopefully then they will burn evenly for you. (also try rotating the cigar when you smoke them, since the bottom of the cigar will burn quicker then the top)

They are Maduros. My humi's RH is fluctuating still btw 60% and 65%.

They are burning uneven to the point where rotating wont make a difference, or at least I think it wont.

Ill try letting them sit for a while before smoking anymore.

The one YOU like the most. I personally don't care for the Gold or Classics.....maduro and corojo are my favorites of the FDO.

The maduro is my favorite also, but you should give the corjo a shot too.

    Corojo and maduros.

    Gold-mild and nutty IMO

    Natural(classics)-no flavor.

I like the FDO great morning smoke with coffee. Have you looked at the prices at Tampa Humidor. They also have free shipping.
    It'll do in a pinch
