I had a long drive to the west side of West Virginia today and I saw several winery and maybe 1 distillery sign, and I thought of you, George each time.

Those beers sound really good. Founders makes one called Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) and it is delicious. Reminds me of your first description. I also had one recently from Founders called Big Luscious which was brewed with chocolate and rasberry, which wasn't my bag, but I could tell they put a lot into it. Way too sweet and flat for beer, IMO. Dessert beer.

I should have a batch of blackberry hefeweizen ready this weekend. 33 half liter bottles carbonating in my tub right now.
