Hey everyone. First off, let me thank you again for all the prayers and well wishes, they are much appreciated!!

Pop took a couple of steps backwards over the weekend. He got up and walked a little bit on Saturday.......but that may not have been a good thing as his heart rate started doing some funky things. The Dr's have added some additional drugs to his regimen and the heart rate appears to be in control now, but no more walking and an extension to his stay is expected. He has also developed an air leak, which all say is expected and should heal itself over time.....how much time remains to be seen.

Like always though, my Pops remains in good spirits, and is more concerned about everyone else than he is himself..........his first question to me was "Does Mindy have enough straw in her dog-house? Have you checked her food and water today?"

He wants to come home and get my Ma back to her familiar surroundings so that she will be comfortable!! Please, keep him and my Ma in your prayers!!

    Thank you all!!

Your Dad sounds a lot like mine. After his triple bypass, he was asking about others, in good spirits, and always acted like he was fine even when he wasn't. And always pushing himself, it's difficult to get him to accept limiitations as he gets older.

I hope your Dad heals up so you can enjoy a wonderful Christmas together. Stay strong!
