Are the Cigar's dried out? Sometimes the vendors don't keep their humidors at the right settings and can dry out a Cigar which makes them difficult to smoke.
Oh, and welcome to the boards!!!
(I'm new also)
I don't think they're dried out, the walk-in humidor had the temp. and rh gauges right there, 70 and 70. Also, the buddy I smoke with isn't having the same problems...and I bought both sticks (the Punch's) at the same time. So I really think it's my technique.
I think the Curly Heads might be a short filler cigar which tend to have draw problems a bit more often. Also I tend to keep my cigars around 65% RH in my humidors at home and I see to have less problems with draw.
