    Default Camacho SLR and Negro

Has anyone tried the Camacho “SLR” or Camacho Negro? These look tasty… They also seem to be fairly priced. I just wanted to see what my fellow BOTLs felt about them before I buy a box.

I had a Camacho SLR Maduro one evening in the bathtub while watching Mystery Science Theater's episode of The Skydivers. Very strong cigar. I don't know if it was the water or the cigar, but it had me sweating.

I'll tell you a good Camacho, the Triple Maduro. mhmmm

I had an SLR a month or two back. It was ok. Medium to Full, good price, had sort of a cherry Licorice flavor to it. I'm not a big licorice person period, but it wasn't bad. Have not had the Negro

I've had both and likes them. I did a box split on here a while back on a box of the Negros. The first one I had was a bit harsh. I smoked it pretty soon after they arrived. Knowing the way Jr's ships their cigars, it was probably too wet. Every Negro I've smoked since then was great.

I like Camacho. The SLR are nice. Never had a Negro yet. Just got a Camacho El Legend-Ario. It's 6x60 and Natural. The wrapper is black and they call it a natural. My B&M said it's the strongest cigar he has. One of these day I'll get too it.

It seems like this is a good cigar for the CCC, as I also enjoy the Camacho Triple Maduro immensely. For me, though, it puts most of the rest of their line to shame, as I find most Camachos very linear and without depth or nuance.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

They are quite good, full-bodied, and well priced. I found the Coyolar and SLR to be a bit too strong for my taste, but I really liked the Corojo. There's a lot of Ligero in these cigars.

I've had the Coyolar and the SLR Maduro. Both good cigars, in my opinion the Coyolar is the better of the two. I would smoke both again definitely may be tempted even to buy a box of either so I don't think you can really go wrong. I have two of the Negros in the Humi as well as two of the Triple Maduros, I am dying to smoke both of them.
