I dunno ya'll. This is exactly the reason why noobs shouldn't be allowed in passes until they have some experience on the board, are familiar with general rules, and have earned some cred. This guy has cigar prices and pass protocol totally fucked up. Based on his actions in this pass, I would never be in a trade/pass with Taz. Ya'll can be cool with it. I'm not.
To sharpen the point:
Top25 has shitty reviews, but the MSRPs there are fairly reliable. Checking there reveals
There are several Cohiba robustos and none of them MSRPs for $23.
The Olivas are accurate.
His Aurora is over-priced
The 55 is ludicrously over-priced.
I didn't check the rest.
But, mailing them before a green light from Roham was straight up bullshit.

I have to agree with Basil on this one. Even if the values ended up being where they should be, without a confirmation, nothing should leave if those are pass rules. If confirmation occurred in some other way, say via phone, fine, we don't all need to see it.
I also understand not wanting to sit on a pass because of vacation, but if it's going to be that close of a call, you just say, skip me and come back at the end, or just skip me altogether.
As a reminder, rarity vs. value doesn't compute except in the extremes. If you're pulling out a RyJ 1994 ISOM which technically has a 10.00 MSRP, then no doubt it is worth more than that since it is impossible to attain such a cigar for 10 bucks. But with the Fuente, Padron, Tat stuff, it just isn't rare enough (with the exception of the uncommon lines of Opus and Hemingway). Value must always be met in the common cases, regardless of rarity.

And another word about MSRP - Often times, the MSRP that is published is higher, sometimes much higher, than what the cigar can be had for consistently. So, one can't always use MSRP to price a cigar in a pass; saying that cigar X is worth $12 MSRP when that cigar can be bought for $8 online or in any B&M anytime is dishonest.

I agree with Basil and BMF, but if Roham OK's it then I guess its fine.
I give up

Taz,
I'm sure you have participated in all sorts of "gentlemenly" passes, but not here. That's almost as bad as referencing an ebay feedback score (almost because you may have cred from another board that a FOG here frequents and thus is willing to back you up).
Basil wasn't making any comment on whose humidor is bigger than whose, and for you to make such a comment is just a sad and arrogant thing. Basil was pointing out you were not following the rules and that MSRP doesn't equal on-line values nor does it match with rarity. He did say he wouldn't want to trade with you because you essentially broke a rule.
For you to respond like this, the "backhanded" high road, shows your altimeter is off, you've done nothing good in this response. You should have just apologized and left it at that. Furthermore, to insinuate I'm some kind of mooching or leeching ass and the only reason I want to attack you (which I didn't even do, just said "not a cool move") is so I can obtain your "oh so rare and expensive" cigars is just plain bullsh*t. As has been said many times on many boards, an "I'm sorry" followed by an "f@*# you!" is not much of an apology. I suggest you take some time to cool your pride while on vacation and realize this is just not how things are done on quality cigar boards.

whoops! Spell check can only do so much for the illiterate.
probably because you don't read the fucking rules.
rules, schmules.
Here, allow me: cien anos beli.
Ok, here, maybe here (you have to call for availability), and, here's MSRP & Avg. price paid.
If you paid $30 in the US for this cigar, you:
a) are an idiot
b) are incredibly naive
c) have a microscopic dick and you search desparately to find ways to compensate
d) all of the above
Found these for $15.26 per when buying 15, and cheaper for 25. They are real and they are in stock.
Wow. Translation: Damn.
