Really? Five to six cigars a day? Not that I don't believe you but what kinds of cigars are you smoking? I'd burn out my palette smoking that many not to mention my wallet!![]()
Secondly....BEER
Beer is like cigars. It's subjective. Drink what you like.
A friend of mine swears by this cheap stuff he gets. Milwaukee something-or-other. I think it sells for $6 a case. He loves the stuff.
I drink many brands of beer. Just like cigars, it's fun to explore.
I never cared for heavier, dark beers though.
A day to day beer? Just give me a cold Bud Light in a bottle or a Corona with lime. Yeah...I know....how common!![]()
good stuff, had one of those a few days ago.Originally Posted by grand cru no 2

Right now - I'm kinda partial to Warsteiner's as a regular beer. A local beer I really like is Leinenkugel's - they have an AWESOME Octoberfest in the fall!!! Their Honey Weiss is the bestI like to put a little bit of Chambord into it to get the mild raspberry taste!!!
Blue Moon is very nice as well! On the mild side, but definitely great!
We have several micro brewery's (Mickey Finn's, Flatlander's, Ram Brewery, to name a few) nearby, so I usually like to sample their Brewmaster's selections. A couple of the places even allow cigar smoking - which is great!! Great stuff!!!
I tend to end up smoking by myself during the summer, but when I get back on campus I'll smoke with my fraternity brothers, which is always fun... just to sit back, relax, puff on a smogie, and chat. I'd say that I prefer smoking with others. We like to try to do tricks (i.e. smoke rings, etc.)
Yeah, and the sorority girls walking by on a nice spring or fall day have NOTHING to do with it right?Originally Posted by BigDirtyFoot

HA! Actually, I'm a nerd.. I'm in the national music fraternity (Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia), not a social fraternity. We don't even have a house! We typically don't get sorority girls. Plus, we usually smoke at night during our activities or on fraternity trips.
No wonder BigDirtyFoot can't get girls. His feet are big and dirty.![]()
How in the hell did you come up with that handle?![]()
Just bustin your chops bro. Welcome aboard.![]()
Ha, well... I play a sport called freestyle footbag, it's a competitive version of "hacky sack"... there's tournament internationally, etc. etc. I've met a lot of great people through it. (www.footbag.org if you're interested, for more information)... and the friends at school that I had at the time nicknamed me "the foot." Then there was this trend where everyone picked screennames that was "BigDirty[insertnamehere]" and so my friends were named "BigDirtyBilly" and "BigDirtyHoss" and names like that. So I just put "Foot" as my name.
But hey, now my nickname's just as bad - "Sloppy Dave." They gave it to me in rehearsal one day because I had my feet on top of my flip flops. Told me to stop being "sloppy"... and it stuck. Oh well!
Premium cigars (if that's what you mean. lol) Padrons, CAO, Punch, ERDMs...etc I have a pretty decent stash so that helps on the wallet.Originally Posted by MMAB

And my pallet is fine thank you!![]()

Yeah, probably not because these are not kiddy beers...you don't chug a 8-10% abv beer while clubbing...they are slow-paced cigar bar beers. They match well with cigars because, unlike mass-produced domestics and imports (with notable exceptions), they have taste and complexity. They are also all-malt beers as compared with beers made with the additive of cheap adjuncts--corn and rice in particular. If you are going to smoke premium tobacco cigars and drink beer, why not pair with a premium beer?Originally Posted by CoventryCat86

5-6 a day! So, Gran Cru...are you a retired multi-millionaire?I think I'd go broke at that rate (or at least my wife would kick me out
)
OH, and I prefer smoking with buddies if they're around, e.g. on the golf course, at a cigar lounge, or at a bar or pool hall. These are some of my favorite times to have a cigar. I also enjoy having a smoke alone while reading a book, but if I had to vote for one, I'd choose "together".
Retired? (nah, i'm 24. lol) Multi-millionaire? Not a chance. But I make a decent living if that's what you mean.Originally Posted by flushh
Also, I'm 24 so I don't have alot of the expenses you guys do. IE a mortgage. I rent, I bought my car cash and I'm very concious of utility conservation, therefore my bills are relatively low. I am self employed and work from home so my gasoline bill is a fraction of most peoples.
I do have a couple of kiddos, an ex-wife and am currently putting my fiance' through college, so really I'm not expense free at all..

Both with me. Some times I need to be alone and just thick or veg. But having a cigar with friends is priceless.
I Prefer to Enjoy a nice Contemplative Smoke by Myself or With a Few Close Collegues. For me, Cigars are a method of escaping from my daily stress.
OK, but I'm still jealous of your rapid-fire stogie rate!Originally Posted by grand cru no 2
