The most amazing cigar/drink combination I've encountered was a RP Vintage '90 Torpedo with a glass of Jonesey Tawny Port.

    So...try Port wine.

OK, that does it, I'm stopping by the liquor store and pick up a bottle of Jonesey today!

Mostly anything for me. Water, soda, beer or whiskey.

Lately, I've enjoyed Newcastle Ale allowed to "warm" to about 60*. This brings the flavor alive

seems to go well with spicy corojo cigars.

..gonna get some port wine myself, how do you all drink port? cold, cool, or room temp?

When I drink port, I drink it cold or cool. Don't know if that's the right way, but I cannot drink room temperature liquid. Sarah, on the other hand, drinks everything room temperature.

I wife likes diet coke at room temp.

I usually don't have anything to drink because I'm in the car and don't feel like stopping.

If I had my choice. It would be single malt scotch.

Agree. I enjoy Smithwick's warmer than I do cold because I began to notice that the flavor is more apparent when warmer but not too warm.
I enjoy my liquor on the cooler side.

I purchased a bottle of "Dow's 10 Tawny Porto" last evening. Enjoyed 2 fingers with a Hemingway Short Story. Both with a hint of earthyness, they make a great after dinner combo.

Most of the time it's Coffee, Beer, Coke/Bourbon or Whiskey, or lastly Scotch. Now, it's a 12 Glennfiddick with a CAO MX2

I plan on pairing some port wine with a RP Decade this weekend. That CAO MX2/GlenFiddich combo sounds interesting too.

  14. Default TO everything there is a season...

Better yet...there is a delightful drink for delicious cigars, sumptious sips for swallowing
with smooth cigars and boastful beverages for benevolent beauties. Gents... have you
noticed that certain drinks go better at designated times of the day, circumstances and
cigars. Mimosas in the morning on a deck overlooking a forest, beers on the boat,
vodka on the course, brandy in the evening. It is well known that our beverage of choice
is more than capable of enticing the old taste buds to explore new heights in the smoke
that we may not have experienced before. Pure enjoyment all the way around and down
    to the last ash.:smiley41

I drink my port at room temp. Jonesy Tawny Port (my favorite) can be had for about $10.99 here.

Been drinking a lot from the Omegang brewery near Cooperstown, NY (baseball hall of fame). I've found the strong flavors have matched up to some of the stronger smokes I've been into recently.

I now only have two, depending on the mood:

Coffee - very strong, sometimes chicory, sometimes iced, and with heavy whipping cream.

Port - my favorite so far is Fonseca Bin 27. I have, in the past, enjoyed Jonesey, but I find it a bit too sweet for my tastes. I need to try some more.

I used to enjoy scotch with a cigar, and still like scotch, but I find that I can't enjoy either to the fullest together, as much as I enjoy them separately.

I feel the same way, I always wind up focusing more on one than the other. I'll still have a cigar with scotch, but I make sure it's a yard gar for blowing smoke. Anything good, and I keep it separate.

I bought a bottle of port last night for the online herf. Not really a wine drinker and never had port before. I purchased a bottle of Cockburn's Fine Ruby for about $13. Definitely wasn't bad. I still prefer beer but I might buy a bottle or two more of port and keep in the cellar.

I definitely felt a little more refined smoking a cigar and drinking port. Now I just need a good smoking outfit.
Each day I break my previous record of consecutive days alive.
