This is a tomato tomahto issue - whatever works best for you, go ahead and do it. I'm a freak about keeping my cigars from getting any dings or tears, so that's why I don't remove the cellophane.

A good reason too for not removing the band until it's burned down. I've pulled many bands off just to have them tear the wrapper where they were stuck.

Cello off for me. I just think they look better and the humidity evens out a little easier. I keep a few empty cello wrappers on hand for whenever I have to ship out a few sticks.
