Default Smoked my First Serie V

Fired up the Serie V Belicioso I received a couple of weeks ago from TampaHumidor. Wow. Possibly my new favorite. I can't really say much (hence why I didn't put this in the review section) except that it delived really great flavor with no harshness or bitterness whatsoever. This one definately deserves the high praise it receives.

On a side note, I enjoyed this cigar while watching Dexter on CBS. Kinda off topic, but anybody else a fan of this show?

Definitely a great smoke. Really smooth for a full-bodied blend. Hope that the quality and prices don't suffer because of their popularity.

Totally agree! Definitely one that I added to my rotation, I just hope my B&M is able t keep them on the shelves and the prices don't balloon. One of the best bang for the buck sticks you can get out there!

Well we can't keep them on the shelves. First box of both the lancero and what I think was a belicoso went like they were on fire. The rest of our boxes are on backorder, and we keep getting requests. This is typical for a new cigar, they make a limited amount and then if it's popular, it sells out right away, then six months later when they can finally ship more, the public has moved on to the next hot cigar.....

I picked up a few of these on spec when they came out, but I haven't tried them yet.

As far as the TV show, I really like watching "Dexter." You must see the cable version. I like both, but I think the concept is more effective with the graphics, so to speak. I also like the way the characters developed with the cable version. I don't watch that much television, but this is worth a look if you get a chance.

I watch Dexter on Showtime. Yes, I enjoy it but I do not empathize with the title character. They are making him a little too sympathetic. He is a serial killer after all. But it is an enjoyable show. I just hope it ends with him getting caught and facing consequences.

Yeah. Even if you "appreciate his point of view", as twisted as that sounds, there is no way you could justify Dexter's behaviors as acceptable. Still, the story is interesting.

Any idea when the Serie V may be back in stock?

I's bet on 4-6 months total, from the time they first ran short till they get more on the shelves, but it really depends on where they are in the process.

It''s just not something they can rush unless they want to screw up what made it so good in the first place. Tobacco has to be planted, grown, harvested, aged, rolled, packaged and sent to market. Hopefully they are just waiting for more of the tobaccos they need to finish aging, thus the 4-6 months estimate.

I also just smoked my first SerieV today. Was pretty warm out here in New York today so I decided to smoke a better stick rather than the lower end Ive been smoking due to the weather. After smoking just one I have a feeling its going to quickly become one of my favorites. I have a few more sitting in the humi that I hope will live up to the first one.

I agree with everyone .....OLIVA V SERIES are great! Some sizes are back ordered......but our store is pretty fortunate. We usally have at least 5+ sizes in stock and the wait is maybe one week from time order is placed. It also depends on stores location, reps allocation and stores relationship with Oliva! I am going to grab one now

I like the torps and dr's. Had a nice spicey dr yesterday. Was going to stop in the store Memorial weekend, but plans got cancelled. Was in there last year and picked up my first Graycliff Espresso. Wasn't my last, but I'd rather have a Padron 40th 0r 80th for the $.
