I grew up in Louisiana, and am familiar with 100 degree days and high humidity. It's funny how you forget after a few years in California and Oregon. I still wear flip-flops and shorts, out of defiance. I just don't spend as much time outside. But I've always got a sweater on, know what I mean?

I am currently in central Oregon. Our first snow was in the middle of October of last year. Longer-termed residents claim that it's snowed in June here. I've lived in several different climates, and the hardest thing to adjust to (weather-wise) is finding the time to do the outside stuff you've always enjoyed. There will be other moves in the near-future, but I'd really like to eventually get some roots in.

Okay. I'm done bitching.
