Hey Guado, since you have been the nicest guy to me thus far on this forum I would like to send you the cigars I was going to send to my SS. I do this not to prove myself to anyone but because A. you have been cool and B. I have five extra cigars, a box, bubble wrap, and water pillow just lying around.

JFellows I am pretty sure I wasn't speaking to you...be polite and mind your business.

Listen, asshole - when you post on a public board, you're talking to everyone. Take it to a PM when you want to speak with a single person. Make sense?

Fair enough, but do you really think I want to start trouble with you? Then why would you try to start trouble with me? I have no beef with you, in fact I have no beef with anyone here. I am simply just trying to stick up for myself. I am a grown man and I refuse to be talked down to by anyone and I am sure you can appreciate that.

Slow down. There have been many many guys go down this road and believe me it doesn't work out, it also doesn't have to be that way. The reason behind asking people to sit out their first year or at least until they have built a bit of a rep is because of the tendency for cigar forums to get quite a few mooches and thieves. We combat this by being a pretty tight knit group and watching each others backs. Trust that if you do your time and take your lumps you won't find a better group of guys out there. We're hard and abrasive for a reason it weeds out those individuals that don't possess a certain type of character. That character being one of loyalty, honesty and respect. You'll be respected here Kool but only after you earn it, the boards are filled with so many scammers and thieves that there is really no way one can expect to be respected right off, if we were to trust and respect you right away there is a really good chance you'd screw us. Start off humble, listen to the guys who have been around for awhile and you'll be alright. You might be a grown up in the real world but on the forum you're still just a kid.

Thanks Joe. To be honest I felt I have been respectful, and humble. I felt that some members were picking a fight even after I had made an honorable attempt. I don’t feel that to pick on anyone after they have done the right thing is honorable or decent no matter what "world" one is in, be that a forum or otherwise. I do appreciate you taking the time to talk and react like a levelheaded adult.

You seem to have an overwhelming need to be a martyr. Good luck with that. Let me know how it works out. We are simply informing you how this place works. It has been this way from the start and it will be this way long after you fall on your sword. And your veiled snotty posts are a real good way to completely bury yourself. So, just keep on digging.

You would have been better served by doing this through PM directly with Guado and let HIM post what a wonderful and generous guy you are. Your horn sounds pretty shitty when YOU'RE the one tooting it.

Jfellows was exactly right in his response......what you post is what you are saying to all of us. Just relax, participate in some passes (if you meet the requirements), post some cigar content, host a contest, etc......find someone to trade with (newbie sampler is great for this) you will build rep, and be accepted quicker than you think, but it really all depends on you.

This doesn't have to be a big deal koolhandk.

Don't mind Shag, he might be gruff, but he's really just a teddy bear.

Guys, if you want to share some Xmas cheer, send some cigars to each other, or, next time you're sitting at your local b&m, hand a nice stick to Random Stranger sitting next to you, or, volunteer at a soup kitchen...whatever.
2007 marks my 3rd Christmas on the board. It also marks my 2nd Secret Santa trade. The first year, I felt like I wasn't around long enough to participate, and although I had completed a pass and a trade at that point, I didn't feel like I knew the guys well enough to send them something they would like. You can't really know that if you've only been around 2 or 3 months.

Sorry I am not well versed in the whole forum thing so I didn't really know all about the whole PM thing.

Heftysmokes that was a well placed well timed statement. Thank you.
