I've noticed the same thing. My smokes don't seem to burn the same in cold weather. I prefer to smoke outside, simply because I prefer to BE outside. But these (like today) -14 temps suck ass, at least as far as smoking, and drinking, and starting the truck, and scraping ice, and shoveling snow, and keeping snot from freezing to your lip, and ..... oh who am I kidding, winter just plain old sucks ass!

I was out on my own last year which is probably why I am more struck with the difference now. I did't really enjoy smoking indoors much either when I had the choice.

That's exactly how I feel. I mean my smokes don't 'taste' the same to me, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was just all in my head to go along with this crappy weather. Something just clicks in my head and I can't enjoy my smokes the same. I need to move somewhere that's autumn year round.

Your surroundings, the company you keep, the weather, etc.; all of those and other factors obviously play a part in how enjoyable your smoking experience is. Smoking inside is working for me though, at least until spring.

I also have a theory about cold-weather (especially sub-zero) smoking... Every time you open your mouth to the sub-zero temps, the extreme cold makes your taste-buds contract and less sensitive. Maybe I can get the Feds to give me a grant for more extensive research; they've certainly paid more for less.

In the winter i gravitate to smaller cigars.
The smaller cigars seem to have more taste/flavor than a larger cigar for some reason in the winter.

That reminds me time to order some Frigged kitty cigars
