Provided we are going by the definition of lying as "a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth" then I would have to also point out there was no intent to misrepresent.

    Okay, thanks for the explanation

May I ask that in the future you please choose your words a little more carefully? Had you done that initially, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on if ya know what I mean. I would also strongly suggest and recommend that if you're going to make pretty strong accusation and/or statements you better damn well "be bothered" because shooting from the hip without the facts to back it up is a very bad thing.

This time I'm honestly trying to give you good advice instead of being a smart ass.

Reading old posts - what a bother... Geez... That takes some work...

Monkey - it obvious that you are so much blinded by your own ignorance to worry about anything that closely resembles the truth. It is bliss, ya know...

And I really mean that in a kind way - I would really hate for you to be offended.

    C'mon Monk, we're just kidding.

Geez, I think you're okay and I'm sure ggiese does too.

We're just funnin' ya so lighten up and play along.

Monk, please do yourself a favor and resist the urge to dig your hole deeper.

I'm sorry if you don't like the way I just worded that last statement but that's just me.

How about this, would you like it better if I said:

"Monk, you're a great guy and you are a huge asset to this board. Your opinion and input is extremely valuable here and you've been a comtributing member for quite some time. Just so you can't be preceived as getting yourself in hot water, it might me a good idea to just give this whole thread a pass and not make anymore posts here."

I would like to say that but most of it is just plain not true and the rest is just fluff and bullshit.........
Isn't it though? If someone doesn't agree with the members who have been here longer they seem to get the bad end of a stick in my experience, and any time they have been here just doesn't seem to be good enough for them to be allowed to have a different opinion without reprecussions.

Your last comments are quite enlightening actually. Thanks,

I seem to be lagging a post behing in post time here, its getting all crossed over. Anyhow, you are right. I was drunk last night so didn't put as much thought into an intelligent post as I should have.

You don't like it? Fix it. Don't whine about it.

...and I'm not "talking" about dropping flaming bags of poop on your doorstep - I am dropping a flaming bag of poop on your doorstep. I got my passport and everything! And I'm coming to Toronto in two weeks. Listen for the doorbell...

hey monk...i haven't been here as long as these other guys and i've had a different opinion on more than one occasion. i've even butted heads a bit here and there and cam through relatively unscathed so if there's one piece of advice i can give you--make damn sure you can back up every sentence you write...these jokers have too damn much time on their hands to let even the smallest generalization slide!
Also, try to make sure you spell correctly. I've worked with elementary school teachers who are less hard on the "grammatically challenged" than CC.
And one more thing, don't be afraid to bust balls...for the most part, they can take it as well as they give it.

Well I didn't want to point out CC's misspelling of perceived (preceived) in post #76 since I know it will come back to haunt me someday when I mis-type

Okay, I can see how it may appear that way but honestly I don't think it happens as often as you may think.

For instance, propheticjoe has had disagreements with me and so has dickson. For the most part, these disagreements are worked out and everyone walks away either agreeing to disagree or changing their position due to well thought out respectful points from the person they initially had the disagreement with. This has happened with me and Nate (propheticjoe) on at least two or three occasions that I can recall and I think the world of him and highly respect him when he posts something that "calls me out" or whatever you want to call it. Same with Dickson, we may disagree and there are times when he and I say to each other "Oh yeah, I see your point!" and all is well.

There have been MANY other people that have had differences with others and can tell you the same types of stories.

It's all in how you present it. Yep, sometimes my "style" ain't the prettiest but that's just me....

Oh and your "opinion" is a stupid one.
