Temporary storage for cigars

I want to reseason my humidor. I have a new one I am getting ready to put the cigars in, the only problem is I unexpectedly won some cbid auctions and now I have about 10 too many to fit in my smaller humidor. I was going to use and airtight rubbermaid container I was going to pick up at walmart. I will use my humi beads for humidification just for a day or two until my humi is ready. Would this be ok to do without ruining my smokes?

Yup, that should be fine! Just as long as you are using beads to humidify them, and they are in a good area where temperature doesn't fluctuate severly (below 60 or above 70 degrees) you should be fine.

You don't have to have a humidor to keep cigars in. It's just a nice display piece ontop of a desk or any other furniture. In the end, you will end up getting a Coleman cooler and create your own Coolidor (it seems like you are already in that stage, having no more room in your humidor).

Just as long as the container can seal enough to keep the humidity stabalized, you can use anything you want. Good luck.

24x36x48=41472 cubic inches

Multiply this by .00185185 (ounces needed per cubic inch); 41472x.00185185=76.799 ounces

Divide this answer by 16 (ounces in a pound); 76.799/16=4.79

You would need 4.79 pounds of Heartfelt Humidity Beads for this humi.

You really decide which size you're getting, then you'll be able to tell.
I think you'll need another pound, though.

You shouldn't have to worry about humification in the tuperdor if it's only for a few days. In fact I would suggest just using large freezer baggie.

I have a drymistat tube in there with about 13 cigars. Humidity was at steady 70% last time I checked.
