Thread: Damaged sticks

    Default Damaged sticks

I ordered these during my 1st-purchase spending spree. They were ending on cbid with no bids, so I bought 'em for $5. I just opened the bag they came in (they arrived yesterday) to put 'em in the humi & noticed they're pretty beat up. Every one of them is cracked (some worse than others), one has a hole in it & another has a spot that looks like it started to rip (mishandled).

I'm not worried about these - I bought them thinking I needed to fill some room (though I don't think that'll be a problem now )... besides, they were $5. If I want to smoke 'em & the cracks cause a problem, I'll just cut off the cracked portion. However, if these were higher dollar sticks or just something I really wanted, I'd be upset to receive 'em in this condition.

Have you ever returned an order due to damage, or is this a risk you run by using a mail-order business?

Call and complain to Cbid. Offer to E-mail the pics to them. Most times they will replace the sticks. Doesn't matter if you paid $1 or $100 for them. Damage sticks shouldn't be shipped out.

I've found CI (who handles CBid) to be very good about those kinds of things.

What he said......you should never have to accept damaged sticks. Several members have had to deal with C-bid customer service, it happens, and I don't recall anyone who was not satisfied with the resolution they received.

Well I emailed the pics, I'll wait to see what they say (it's really not worth the time or shipping cost to send 'em back, but I'll see what they say)...

I demaned a BOX of Opus X's to remedy this grievous situation - a single didn't sound like enough.

Well that was quick, they're sending a box of Opus X for my troubles!

Kidding... they're setting up a return & paying for shipping back to them. Quick, courteous service.
