That makes sense actually, Nicotine is a stimulant, much like caffeine. i know that caffeine thins blood thus easing discomfort. I would imagine nicotine has the same effect (affect?). Or maybe it is totally unrelated who knows?

Well Robert, the only thing I know is that chronic headaches are nothing to fuck around with. There are things that can cause them that are not very pleasant. Some can result from traumatic injuries and develop over time. The simple fact that they are not bothering you now may just be coincidental.
Not trying to scare you or anything......but it doesn't take long to get a neuro exam and an MRI........
[Redneck] I ain't skeered!! [/Redneck]
I've been brought back from the dead in an ambulance at a VERY early age: 3rd degree burns over 90% of my body - no scars. I was supposed to be dead - permanently- by 30: a-hole doctor predicted cancer from radiation poisoning when Chernobyl blew up (I was very sick)... they gave my parents that bit of news infront of eight-year old Me. I'm not gonna let a little headache scare me!
Seriously, I do get regular checkups and I see the doctor if anything weird seems to be going on. They know my story & there have been no signs of any problems - thankfully!
When I saw the doctors after the accident, they told me I'd need surgery to relieve the pain. They also said that if I didn't get it done, the condition may deteriorate over time & cause more pain (and possibly be a little more involved to fix, but wouldn't cause other problems). I told them I didn't want surgery & the doctors were fine with that - they didn't try to talk me into going ahead with treatment. As a result, I can't look up/lean back at the same time without pain, and I've had headaches just about every day (not anymore - I'm still hailing cigars as my miracle cure).
Besides, that was about 7 years before I was supposed to be dead (and about 8 years ago... guess I made it) - why would I risk surgery if I was a goner anyway?
Wow, sounds as if you are indeed a lucky man....pain or no pain. 3rd degree burns, 90% of your body with no residual scarring.....amazing that you even survived that. That large of a surface area burn is almost always fatal.
I have had nothing like that, but I can relate to the headaches on an intimate level. I still maintain that chronic headaches are nothing to fuck around with. For those of us "average" joes that is.
