With 80 sticks, that works out to be about $85/stick, not counting the box itself. Sometimes a cigar is worth it to an individual, especially if you're gonna milk 'em for the next several years. I just spent 1600 bucks for a box of special cigars (about $65/each)... but these are well known cigars with a reputation for being among the best ever produced and I smoked a few of them before I made the plunge.
But $85 a stick for a cigar from Fuente that has never been released/smoked/reviewed and has no history is a bit ludicrous. Even if the humidor is a big part of that, there ain't no wooden box in the world worth that much.
Edit: By the way, most GOF's go for 20-30 each. Figuring the cigars might sell for $25 each (average) that's $2000 for the cigars. That leaves $4500 for the box. I'm sure there will be 30 people somewhere in the world who will buy them, but even if they don't it's a great marketing ploy for Fuente. They might have to sell 5 (if that) to break even.
