That's MY opinion

    Hola bigwhiteash.

I feel very unlucky smoking Dominican cigars for two main reasons:

    Taste and price.

Mostly of Dominican cigars taste me too herbal, almost metallic and sour, even from diferent brands.

Dominican Premium brand cigars available in Spain (Fuente is not available here) cost higher than Cuban Premium Habanos in average.

However, I feel happy with other non Cuban cigars from Nicaragua and Honduras. I find in some of their brands a very good ratio Quality/Price (exception of Padrón cigars: Recently released here TOO overpriced).

I'll give you some examples of what is available legally in this market with less than 30 USD:

Montecristo A. Partagás Lusitanias. Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro. Ramón Allones Gigantes. Cohiba Expléndidos. Cohiba Maduro Genios. Cohiba Siglo VI...

This is part of my very personal experiences. Of course it is not my intention persuade anyone, it is just my opinion, as yours.

    Enjoy smoking.

    Regards.

    Ricardo.

Damn, that sucks, no Fuente products?

If I were to ever smoke cuban cigars, they would probably be Bolivar or Montecristo. Vegas Robaina are very pretty also. I've been smoking a LOT of Nicaraguan lately, Pepin and Camacho to be exact.

Padrons are ALWAYS welcome in my humidor, although they aren't allowed to stay long

Boy, no Fuente.....that would definitely suck. I've read good things about those Ramon Allones Specially Selected, I think I'd have to give those a shot too, right along with those you mention.

I'd have to say the majority of my humi contents is Nicaraguan.....with ample doses of Honduran and Dominican sticks as well.

Only ones I stay away from are the ones from Argentinia.....
