Welcome from the DC area.
Welcome from CO. Try the CAO Brazilia if you feel like giving CAO another chance. It's a very smooth medium bodied cigar.

Welcome from NY. Maybe you should start off with something milder like 5 Vegas Gold or Fonseca.
Thanks for the warm welcomes. I will deffinately try the Brazillian CAO that was recomended. I tried the first CAO because it was recomended as a mild starter cigar. The 5 vegas gold is on my top list though. Anyway hope you all have a great weekend!
I second the Fonseca. Preferably the Fonseca Vintage. Yum. You said it was the peppery taste you didn't care for? There are fuller-bodied smokes out there without the peppery taste.
Basically, only you are going to know what you like. Try a bunch of different stuff, you'll spot your favs after a while. When I started smoking cigars, I didn't have two of the same cigars for like 3-4 months.
Welcome from a fellow newbie.
I have made it a rule never to smoke more that one cigar at a time.
