    Default Attaching top mounted hygrometer

I just received one of these humidors and there weren't any instructions. I'm seasoning it now and forgot to call their cunstomer service dept until it was after their regular hours. The hygrometer didn't sit snug in the hole in the top so I'm guessing there's some way to attach it. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best way to attach it? Glue seems like the fumes might be an issue and I don't want to have leaks. Am I stuck waiting until Monday?

    Thanks,

    Todd

The last analog hygrometer I pulled out of a humidor had a plastic o-ring or fitting that made it fit snug. Maybe jerririg a fitting to make it fit snug? I think you can get away with using all-purpose foam weather seals to fill in the gap. That would be my best guess

You could use some electrical tape until it fits in snug.

I think that teflon tape would work better as there's no adhesive it just sticks to itself.

Magnetic tape strips would be the best.

    That's what came with mind.

I agree, I have a few and they all came with a magnetic disc with adhesive backing. The hygro had a metal disc attached to the back of it. Remember you might have to remove the hygro to adjust it. Maybe double-check the packaging to see if you discarded some items.
