favorite alcohol w/a cigar?

Dos Equis! I drank a lot of that when I was in Mexico! Unfortunately, I wasn't smoking cigars at that time. Otherwise I would have found a Havana or two!

Rum = Anniversario Pampero by Ron Pampero (simply the best on the planet IMO)

Scotch = Dalmore Cigar Malt, Dewars 12, Glenmorangie 12 year

Other notables = Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Green Label, Knob Creek

I can't say I see hot cinnamon as being a good pairing, but I guess you never know until you try and to each his own taste.

Don't forget that different cigar styles go together with different activities and drinks. On a warm summer day or when you're grilling, a good mild smoke and a cold lager, pilsner, or cola go well together. I like the Don Kiki Greens for this.

The fuller smokes go well after a meal in the evening with a heavier drink. Nothing like a Cohiba with a Cognac or port wine or a Romeo Y Julietta Maduro with a belgian ale or Cognac in the late evening.

Single malt: Glenmorangie 12 year, The Glenlivet 12 year

Beer: the Alaska Brewing Company's Summer Ale and Oatmeal Stout, Deschutes Brewery's Black Butte Porter, and Guinness.

Wine: BV 1999 Rutherford Cab, BV 2001 Muscat de Beaulieu

Rum: Bacardi 8 year old
Whisky: Canadian Club or Jack Daniel's Old No. 7
Beer: Quite partial to Old Peculiar at the moment

Cognac: Courvoisier or Hennessy VSOP

Wine: A nice Port

One of my favs. is Dalmore 12. Try it if you haven't.

I noticed our Trader Joe's carries that brand of scotch, I'll definitely have to check it out!

You should check out the Glenmorangie line of scotches. Someone gave me a bottle of the 18 year old as a gift (I'm sure the 12 is good too) and we taste tested it with his 18 year old Macallen's....and personally, I thought the Glenmorangie was better!
