I agree. But I would still suggest using some small pieces of cedar for dividers, etc. Some cigar boxes are made entirely of cedar and most at least have cedar separator sheets or fillers. So it should be easy to acquire some at your local humidor for free or cheap.
Not only does cedar infuse a flavor, it is also a natural insect repellant. That should keep moths and silverfish out.

If you do use spanish cedar, be sure to wear a mask when cutting and sanding. The dust is toxic.

Luan won't really smell like anything as compared to spanish cedar. I never really gave a rat's a$$ about the spanish cedar "aroma" so I would use it if I were you.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured just wanted something that wouldn't affect the taste of my smokes. I figure if I want a spanish cedar smell that it will come from all the nice boxes of cigars I'll put in it. hehe. Rock on, thanks Bill.
