Giving the parents of a new-born cigars as gifts?
That's a new one on me. But hey, I'm not Emily Post.
I am familiar with the reverse of the new father giving out cigars, but what in God's name is the mother of a new-born going to do with cigars? Is that what you mean?
That might be OK for the new Dad, but the new Mom will surely feel left out. Plus tobacco and babies is a bad mix. The health thing ya know.
No offense. Just my thoughts.![]()
When my son was born I gave out R&J Bullys to everyone I knew. When my daughter was born I gave out Mayorga Robusto maddies.
I am very big on tradition so I had to do that. Alot of people I gave cigars to are non-smokers or non-cigar smokers and they still thought the gesture was nice. In fact a few of my close non-cigar smoking friends still have both cigars and have no plans of getting rid of them.

Hey everyone I just discovered this site and have been reading all day; there's tons of good information.
Anyway, my boss just had a baby and I'm out of town on a jobsite, but when he comes doen next week I plan on having a cigar with him. He's an avid cigar smoker so I'm sure he'll appreciate it. I know quite a few people who received cigars for the birth of a child, and even the nonsmoking ones appreciated the gesture.
