What Rh is the shops humidor kept at? My experience has been that most b/m's I've seen keep the Rh significantly higher than I prefer to smoke. This is common practice since the humidors are opened very frequently with customer traffic, etc......

I would suggest picking up 4 more and letting them rest in your humi for a few days until the acclimate to your preferred Rh range......then see what happens. I've almost never had good luck smoking a stick right from the b/m's humi.

Oh, and BTW, I never say a stick isn't for me until I've tried a 5er.......well, except Acids, I think 5 of any of those would kill me.

That is too bad. The Aurora 1495's are some of my favorites. I second everyone else's opinion - allow your B&M purchases to rest for a bit before smoking them. A B&M I used to frequent kept their stash at like 72% humidity - much too much for my tastes. I had a deal worked out with the guy up front that would let me bring my own in to smoke as long as I bought a few cigars from him in the process. He also preferred that I took the band off if it wasn't a brand he carried. Done deal.

Okay..... I bought another yesterday. Im going to let it settle down in my humidor for awhile and give it a try. I cant wait since the last one gave me a few nice draws with good taste.
