Appreciate the review Will. I almost pulled the trigger for some of these from CI. I've had the same issues with Gurkha wrappers on non perfectos.

    Nice Job!

The wrapper looks like it was put on backwards, starting at the head and wrapping to the foot. That leaves nothing to hold the wrapper in place.

    Gurkhas are notorious for that.

Yes they are. Their bands do not necessarily point North. You have to closely examine the wrap and hope you get it right. I don't understand their negligence.

Ok, then it wasn't me. I did your thing Dennis, and imagined a tooth pick, under the wrapper, pointing away from my mouth. Still fell apart.

Sorry that didn't work out better for you. I have heard mention on this site of these perfectos unraveling and of bands facing the 'wrong' way. For the record, I've smoked several of these over the past couple years and have not yet experienced either of those issues - but you are definitely not the only one to run into these problems with Gurkhas.

I seem to recall a different flavor profile. Mine started out sweet, turned 'grassy' in the first and second third, and then mellowed into the slightly peppery flavor you described. Hmm. Maybe I'll fire another one up and see how it runs.

Well, maybe peel the wrapper off, and see if that makes a difference!

j/k bro. Thanks again for the oppourtunity. There's one left, and I'll update this review if it has a different profile. I can't say I tasted "sweet" at all though..
