    Rye is my goto drink.

I'm a huge fan of Wiser's. At home I always have a bottle of their Small Batch and a bottle of their 18 year old (or Very Old, damned marketing change).

Ones that I'd stay away from are Canadian Club and Alberta Premium.

Also, some people swear by Crown Royal, but I just don't find it appealing, hell, I'd take a 5 Star over a CR.
Just a stay at home dad (retired until I choose otherwise, thanks Canadian Army medical pension) hanging out and enjoying the good life.

I'm having some Bulleit Rye tonight. I like it.

I use Rye to make a drink called a Ward 8 (rye, sour mix, grenadine, maraschino cherry). It's cocktail from a long time ago supposedly created in Boston, MA at a restaurant called Locke-Ober which unfortunately closed a couple of years ago. I had always wanted to visit it and eat there because of the infamous "Ward 8" cocktail but I missed my chance.

Anyway, I use Rittenhouse Rye to make those and once in a while, I drink it neat. Rittenhouse is almost too good to be making silly cocktails with, Old Overholt (joking referred to as "Old Overcoat")is actually good enough for these but I would be hard pressed to drink that by itself.

Dad's Hat rye last night. Pretty good, I think I like the Bulleit better.

I enjoy Bulleit also, never had Dad Hat so I can't comment there.
It seems that Rye has almost passed the Scotch in my cabinet, and passed the Bourbons long ago.
