I'm happy with USA's tie with England today. However they need to start working together better, if they want to advance after the group matches. Thankfully Howard is a wall. MVP of the match.

Argentina is always fun to watch. As for South Korea, all I can say is wow, what a game they played. They showed up to win.

As you can all imagine, the WC is very popular in Germany. I don't have to watch it. I just have to walk to my neighbors house to get an update.

I agree. A draw is a great result for the US and a "loss" for England. I felt like England choked on some point blank shots. The US's attack was lucky to get a goal and the defense gave up too many open runs and was overly aggressive at times. I would expect the attack to score in bunches against Algeria and Slovenia just was we did in our last three friendlies.

I'd give a few of England's chokes to Howard's excellent positioning. But I completely agree about USA's defense. They need to communicate better and play smarter. They allowed too many holes for the English to run through.

Wow, Germany just put a whoopin' on Australia. Germany's attack looked brilliant and creative. Germany should go 3-0 in group play which could lead to a matchup with the U.S. if the U.S. gets out of group play (which they should).

Holy crap. I'm totally hooked. I watched the Argentina game casually, the US game with somewhat interest, the Slovenia game (that looked like an insanely slowly kicked goal) intensely and the Ghana game rabidly.

I'm streaming it now at work. I wonder how long it will take my boss to realize I'm not working any more.

    NBA what?

I'm streaming it a little now and then too. I logged in just in time to see Japan's goal. Good stuff!

Germany played a great game and not to take anything away from them, but, Australia's defense looked lost the whole first half of the match!

+1. I am watching the Italy - paraguay match right now. I am shocked Italy can't be more aggresive at the front! Then again, Paraguay's defense is doing a great job.
