Dutch Cigar
I have a question for all you knowledgeable cigar smokers.
My sister while visiting Belgium purchased some cigars and sent them to me. One was a cigar of Dutch origin. In doing some research on the cigar I discovered it was a five country blend. One of those countries being Cuba. If a Dutch cigar uses a small amount of Cuban Tobacco in the filler. Does this cigar violate the US embargo? Or is it a legal cigar in the USA. I know these cigars are not sold in the USA but that could be for a number of reasons. There are many European brands not distributed in the USA. The box makes no mention of the embargoed state, and the tax stamps are of European origin.
I ask because if you where to walk into a cigar shop in Europe and purchase these cigars. You would have no idea of the fillers origin unless
you researched it online. One would have no idea they where commiting a crime by bringing them into The United States.

It will always be a battle a day between those who want maximum change and those who want to maintain the status quo.
