I replace the D battery in it every 3-6 months, and it works great circulating the air. No muss - no fuss. And you can put it anywhere you want within the cooler. .

..just don't install the oust "scent" package, or you'll end up with Acid cigars.
I have hurd of people using these oust fans I have read that they are discontinued. I hope not. I may look for some seams easier. O I second the on the acid cigars

I wired up the fan, I wired it to the 12 volt power source I have and placed a $2 rheostat in the circuit on the + wire. I completely forgot about potentiometers (variable resisters). Only problem is the drain hole in the back is small and it makes a sharp curve which I was not able to feed the wires through. I do not want to do any permanent changes to this cooler as I am going to convert it back for wine once I break the bank and get a big one. So I fed the wires right through the door. They are real small so they should not the effect the seal. My beads should be here in a few days I can't wait to get them so I can make a big cigar order, and expand out of this 30 count desk top.

Got the beads in a few days ago, have not run the fan. Fan was pointless in the wineador with beads. Could have spent the money on a few extra cigars.
