Find some Padron 'thousand series. Those are good in both natural wrapper, and maduro. For a lighter beginner smoke, try 5 Vegas gold, or some of the lower end Arturo Fuente.
Any of these should be easy to find in Mexico.

Smoke a few down there and bring back some of the ones you like. Just about any US-legal cigar will be just as easy to find back home though.
Just an assumption, but.... Have a fun spring break, but on't get so drunk you end up bringing home a box of stogie-shaped turds because you thought they tasted good at the time.

Forget smuggling cigars in, I just smugled an actual Cuban in, I keep him locked in a steamer trunk in my basement, whenever I get the urge I just get him to hand roll me a few sticks, way easier that way.![]()
Buy a shotgun with an extended tube magazine and put the cigars in the magazine and the barrel. The metal will block the x-ray.
No worries, you can put it in your carry on luggage in Mexico.
